DIY Luggage Tags

DIY Luggage Tags Tutorial: Super Easy! (5-10minutes)
No sewing needed

Things you need:

• Card holder
• Marker
• Origami/Color Paper

  

  Materials

• Scissors
• Stapler
• String/Ribbon
• Name Sticker
• Stapler or Tape

First Step

Cut one card holder from the card folder. It's best If you cut the middle holder. So you won't have to tape the sides.

Second Step

Take out your double sided color paper or origami. If you don't have them, you could use a regular piece of paper. It may not be as good because you want both sides to have a design pattern and a solid color. But it is okay. This is for saving money.

Third Step

Cut your paper as the exact shape of your card holder (Rectangle). After that, try to put it inside the card holder. If it does not fit, cut the sides a bit till it fit. Once it fit, pull your paper out gently and get ready for some decorating.

Fourth Step

Here is the fun part. You could design it however you like. If you are using a double side pattern colorful paper/origami then you should stick a white label sticker or your own name sticker on the solid color side. But if you are using a regular paper where both of the sides are a bit plain, you could decorate it with drawing (No stickers). Write your name/phone/address on one side of the paper while the other side is your colorful design.

Fifth Step

After you are finish with your design, it's time to put it back in the card holder. After you are happy with it, punch a hole in the middle top of the card holder. Then tape or staple the top part of the holder so that your paper won't get any damaged. Make sure it is seal and close properly. Then take out your string/ribbon and put inside the small punch hole. Pull the other end and voila your own customize luggage tag.

Optional

You could print your own luggage templates from the Internet. Then do the same process like Step 4 but without anymore designing.

I hope you had fun doing it as I did. The reason I wanted to make this was because nobody had showed to make this in their own blog/channel so I thought why not make one. Most of you would know it too but I just want to share my ideas with you. Also most of my luggage tags which I bought kept getting stolen and it was a waste of money for me to buy a new one since it may get stolen again. This however may not get stolen because it is handmade and waterproof too. It is also fun making it. Tell this to your friends.
